1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing or using Vazhiq, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

Vazhiq is intended for individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years of age. Drivers must possess all licences, permits, insurance and other documents required under applicable law before providing ride services through the platform.

3. User Accounts

• One account is permitted per mobile number.
• OTP verification is mandatory.
• Email verification may be requested in certain situations.
• Users must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
• Passengers must complete their profile before booking their first ride.
• Drivers cannot accept rides until document verification is completed.

4. Passenger Responsibilities

• Provide accurate pickup and destination information.
• Treat drivers and vehicles respectfully.
• Pay all applicable fares and charges.
• Follow applicable laws during the ride.
• Avoid behaviour that threatens safety or disrupts the service.

5. Driver Responsibilities

• Maintain valid licences and vehicle documents.
• Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness.
• Comply with applicable traffic laws.
• Treat passengers professionally and respectfully.
• Maintain accurate vehicle and account information.

6. Ride Booking

Passengers may request rides through the Vazhiq platform. Drivers may accept or decline ride requests at their discretion. Passengers may cancel a ride before or after a driver accepts the request, subject to Vazhiq's cancellation policy. Once a ride has started, it cannot be cancelled through the platform. Drivers may cancel accepted rides before the trip begins where necessary. Drivers may not cancel a ride after it has started except in exceptional circumstances such as safety concerns, emergencies or where required by law.

7. Ride Pooling

Vazhiq offers ride pooling where available. Drivers choose their intended travel route, and passengers travelling in the same direction may be matched with that route. Drivers may accept or reject additional pooling requests. Passengers joining a pooled ride may not request route changes after joining. The number of passengers permitted in a pooled ride depends on the seating capacity of the vehicle, applicable laws, safety requirements and Vazhiq's operational policies. Vazhiq may limit unnecessary detours to improve efficiency and travel experience.

8. Fares & Payments

• Estimated fares are displayed before booking.
• Final fares may change due to route changes, waiting time, tolls, parking fees or other applicable charges.
• Available payment methods may include Cash, UPI, Cards or other payment methods supported by the platform.
• Available payment options may vary depending on location, technical availability or platform features.

9. Driver Commission

Vazhiq may charge drivers a commission for rides completed through the platform. The commission structure may be fixed, percentage-based, dynamic or a combination of these depending on operational requirements. Applicable commissions will be communicated through the platform. Commission may be deducted automatically from driver earnings. Where automatic deduction fails, Vazhiq may retry collection, recover outstanding amounts from future earnings or temporarily restrict driver access until outstanding amounts are cleared.

10. Cancellation & Refunds

Passengers may be eligible for refunds in cases including duplicate payments, failed rides, incorrect charges or verified payment issues. Refund requests are subject to review by Vazhiq. Waiting charges may apply where passengers delay pickup beyond the applicable waiting period displayed within the platform. Passengers may cancel without penalty where a driver is significantly delayed, subject to Vazhiq's policies.

11. Ratings & Reviews

Passengers may rate and review drivers, and drivers may rate passengers after the completion of a ride. Reviews must be honest, respectful and based on genuine experiences. Vazhiq reserves the right to remove reviews that are abusive, defamatory, misleading, fraudulent, spam or otherwise violate these Terms. Repeated misuse of the review system may result in account suspension or termination.

12. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• Provide false or misleading information.
• Create fake or duplicate accounts.
• Harass, threaten or abuse other users.
• Use hate speech or discriminatory language.
• Carry illegal, dangerous or prohibited items.
• Damage vehicles or other property.
• Drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Manipulate fares, bookings or platform functionality.
• Share or transfer their account to another person.
• Use the platform for any unlawful activity.

13. Account Suspension & Termination

Vazhiq may temporarily suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms. Reasons may include, but are not limited to:

• Fraud or attempted fraud.
• Submission of fake documents.
• Unsafe driving.
• Repeated booking cancellations that abuse the platform.
• Harassment, violence or threats.
• Criminal or unlawful activity.
• Repeated failure to pay applicable charges or commissions.

14. Lost Property

If personal belongings are left in a vehicle, Vazhiq may assist in facilitating communication between passengers and drivers. However, Vazhiq cannot guarantee the recovery of lost items and accepts no responsibility for items left behind.

15. Limitation of Liability

Vazhiq provides a technology platform that connects passengers and drivers. While we strive to provide a reliable and safe service, Vazhiq does not guarantee uninterrupted platform availability. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vazhiq shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion is prohibited by applicable law.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Until the company is formally incorporated and a jurisdiction is designated, disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of competent courts in India, unless otherwise required by applicable law. Before initiating legal proceedings, users are encouraged to contact Vazhiq Support to attempt an amicable resolution.

17. Changes to These Terms

Vazhiq may revise these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Updated versions will be published on this page with the revised effective date. Continued use of the platform after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
